Taylor in Motion: Progression of a Portrait by Helen Lesnick

This is a progression of my portrait of Taylor Swift. Every day I take a photo of the portrait in more or less the same position in the same light. (Since I take the photo handheld, it's not what anyone would call "exact".) I have learned to move from left to right in drawing so I don't erase what I was working on before. With my portrait of Serena Williams, I had to redo sections several times because I kept erasing my work. I used to work in oils but I am not the tidiest person to pick up a brush so everything I owned had oil paint on it. That's when I switched to pastels, but as consequence, I have to be careful about not erasing my work!
